This is absolute madness. Surely the whole point of a subscription streaming service is that it can offset the cost of quality shows with smaller audiences against the mass appeal garbage that gets people to shell out for the service. We are seeing far too many good series with obvious potential being cancelled on the whims of executives who appear to have no artistic sensibilities whatsoever. It’s high time that the penny-pinchers who inhabit the boards of TV companies were replaced by people who value the work for itself. The present bunch of philistines would have cancelled Shakespeare!
